The old default start-up of music of counter strike has become very boring.
In this post i will tell you how to change the start-up music of counter strike 1.6/source/cz etc.....though its not an important post but it will just pimp your game :D
Follow the steps given below to change your cs start-up music..
- First of all, take a song and rename it to "gamestartup.mp3"
- Now locate media folder in your cstrike directory...
- Paste song which you selected and renamed as "gamestartup.mp3"
- That's it, you are done..Congrats :)

I figured this out on my own actually, or so I thought, but any other mp3 besides the original doesn't play for some reason. Any help?
I finally got one to work... could it be that the mp3 has to be at 128 kbs?
no..Any mp3 file is ok..I mean there is no need of 128 or 64..U can get any kbs..
bitrate does matter, 320kpbs does not work. I reencoded the smae sone to 128 and it worked.
