Disconnect: Kicked by Console : zBlock - "mat_dxlevel" value "0.00" below acceptable limit: to play on this server set the value to at least "80.00".
This error occurs in counter strike source..

This happens because you have set the game to run at too low a DirectX level, which is classed as an exploit, and will get you kicked from some servers.

To fix it, write 'mat_dxlevel 80' into the game's console to set it to run at DirectX 9.

Note: Writing this may freeze your game (very less chances) so at that time you have to create an autoexec.cfg...

Almost all pros prefer it off, because for most people all it does is make it more difficult for quick precise aim. My suggestion is to use cl_dynamiccrosshair 0.

How to record/make/create demos in Counter-Strike

There are two ways to record demo in Counter-Strike

1: In Game demo recording
2: Recording demo through HLTV

In Game Demo Recording:

You can record your own demo, just go to console and type "record (demo name)" without ( )..The recording will start immediately and to stop it, just type "stop" in the console and press enter...Thats it you are done..

Go to counter-strike folder and there you will find a file known as "hltv" . Open it and follow the steps below:

1: Type "Connect (ip address)" without using ( )...If the server is password protected so you have to type this command "serverpassword (example)" This is just an example..

2: Now type "record (demo name)" and press enter
3: That's it, Demo is recording now and to stop the demo recording, you have to type "stop" in hltv..

That's it...

Run/View/Play Demos of Counter-Strike

1: After recording the demo, you will see the demo file in your cstrike folder.
2: Copy the name of that demo
3: Run Counter-Strike
4: Go to console and type "playdemo (demo name)" without using ( )

Counter Strike shortcut Problem | Counter Strike Starts as Half life

This is a problem but not major...In this problem you aren't able to run counter-strike and when you try to run counter-strike, instead of it half life prompts up and you always have to change the game...

Just because of this, you aren't able to run hacks, sxe-injected or any other plugin and losers just reinstall the whole counter-strike (as I also used to :D) But now I don't...

Just go to the properties of your counter-strike shortcut at desktop or hl.exe in cstrike folder and type "-nomaster -game cstrike" at the end of target.

Fix #cstrike_chat_alldead, eh? Chatting in counter strike is very important, specially in clan matches...So to solve the #cstrike_chat_alldead problem, you have to download the counter-strike patch, any patch and install it...

Sometime it irritates a lot when some one is spamming or abusing continuously and at that time the only option left for you is to disable the chat/turn it off..

This is actually very simple, just write this command "hud_saytext 0" in the console...
Thatz it, you are done

And to enable the chat/turn it on again, you have to type "hud_saytext 1" in console :)
