All you have to do is copy paste a simple line

Go to your desktop and find HLDS icon there

Go to the properties of it and paste this at the end of the Target path

-console -game cstrike +sys_ticrate 1000 +heapsize 250000 +maxplayers 10 +map de_inferno

You can change the map by editing de_inferno with any other map name..

This is the console version of HLDS therefore it will eat very less CPU usage.

The problem which often newbies find is servers, after installing the game they don't know what should they do and the most probably they download and play with bots..
But after this post, I think you won't be doing that because you will find the best lag free servers in your area/country..

Just follow these steps and m sure that you will find the best counter strike server..

• Go to www.game-monitor.com
• You will find a small search box and in the Location box you have to choose your country
• And in the game box, choose Counter-Strike
• Now click search...
• Copy the ips of the servers and add them in your favorite list..
• That's it :)
  

This is one of the most irritating errors that sometimes creeps without any notice. It is quite probable that you played the game last night but today you are getting very high latency. Now the probable reason for this could be that you are getting weak signal strength in the cable, so you will have to call up and engineer to check it. The problem is more irritating because you get complete download speed but cant play the game

Here are some reasons that could cause this error:

Your internet connection or the server’s internet connection is having problems
• You have some P2P or similar program running on your system in the background that consumes your bandwidth, sending email will also cause this if you have a low speed internet connection.
• There are other computers on your local network using your internet connection.
• The server you are on has its network connection overloaded (too many players or it’s downloading something in the background).
• You are running on a wireless connection.
• You have a Virus or Trojan or Internet Worm infection that is generating traffic.
• You are connected to the internet using an analog (56K) modem.
• You have your rate or cl_updaterate or cl_cmdrate settings too fast for your internet connection.


The following are steps you can take to self diagnose the problem and rectify it:

• Shut down all unnecessary programs on your computer before playing.
• Scan all computers on your home network for virus/trojan and spyware
• If you are running on a wireless network, try connecting using a direct ethernet cable and see if the problem goes away
• The default rate is 3500 to 5000 for 56K Modem. You should use the appropriate setting for your connection. You set this in your game console (~ typically) by entering: rate 7500
• The default cl_updaterate is 20, setting the value to a higher number increases the download demand on your connection. Set this in your console: cl_updaterate 20
• The default cl_cmdrate is 30, setting the value to a higher number increases the upload demand on your internet connection. Set this in your console: cl_cmdrate 30

Initially enter the following values and then keep lowering the values until you get a stable latency.

• Rate 25000
• Cl_updaterate 101
• Cl_cmdrate 101

I already wrote a guide about how to create your own counter-strike dedicated server but in this post I will tell you about how to get the static ip for your counter strike server...
It is common that when you restart your modem so your wan ip changes and you have to look for your new ip and give it to your friends but now you don't have to do that...

I guess you have often seen the servers with named ip e.g cs-utilities.com:27015

So you have to create the same type of ip for your cs 1.6/css/cs:cz server

Follow the guide given below :)

Procedure:

1) Go to https://www.dyndns.com

2) Make an account there & login using that.

3) After you have logged in go to this link https://www.dyndns.com/account/services/hosts/add.html

4) Type the hostname you want & then select domain from drop-down menu
5) Tick on "Create Wildcard alias.."
6) Select Service type as "Host with IP address"
7) In IP Address dont type thing but click on "Use auto detected...."
8) Your current IP will be filled automatically.
9) Then click Create Host
10) It will show you bill but dont worry :P , that is $0 so its free & safe, CLICK NEXT
11) Then Click Activate Services and your hostname is ready to use
12) Now you have to download a software which will update that hostname to your IP each time your IP changes
13) If you use windows go here https://www.dyndns.com/support/clients/windows.html
14) Download it and install, Just keep on clicking next, when it ask whether to install it
as Service, tick mark "Install the Dyndns...."
15) After installing it will launch and ask your username/password
16) Type the username\password & click OK
17) You will see your hostname in that list, tick mark it and click Apply & OK

NOTE : It should keep running in background else ur server hostname will not work.

Install sxe anti-hack/cheat plugin on your server | Create sxe-protected server | Add sxe into your server

Day by day, cheaters are spreading like fire and to stop them - we have sxe anti cheat pluggin.
This post will help you about how to install/add sxe on your server. Before starting, you should have the knowledge about amx also..because its an amx pluggin and will not work without amx..

Ok now you have to "download sxe anti-cheat/hack plugin here"

From now on wards, it will be very easy..Just follow the steps below

• Extract your sxe anti hack plugin

• Copy "sxei" folder and paste it in "addons" folder, you can find "addons" in your cstrike folder..

• Now go to your "metamod" folder and open "plugins.ini" file

• Copy the line below and paste it in "plugins.ini"

win32 addons/sxei/dlls/sxei_mm.dll

A server is usually not necessary for normal/individual players but later when he/she gets a clan then it becomes quite necessary for him/her to get a server. This is because of clan matches or practice etc...

In this post I will guide you about "How to create/setup your own counter strike server at internet"

It maybe complicated for you if you don't have any knowledge about port forwarding so all you have to do first is Forward your ports.

Follow the steps below to "Create a counter strike server"

1: Go to your counter-strike folder, there you will find a red icon like this - named as "hlds"

2: Open it and you will see something like this:


3: If you want to create a server which is visible to all then you have to select your network as "Internet" and UDP Port 27015 is the number of the port, which you have to forward...

4: Rcon password will help you to control the server while you are in game or you are at any other place..

5: Now just start the server...

6: Go to www.whatismyip.com, See your wan ip there, Copy it and add :27015 with it..e.g if your ip is 123.345.678.981 so you have to add :27015 with it and make it like 123.345.678.981:27015...
Note: You have to give that ip to your friends, in order to play with them and you yourself have to connect with your lan ip...

Congrats, You have successfully created your own counter strike server...

7: That's it, If your friends can't join the server then there maybe 2 reasons:

A: Your ports are not forwarded
B: Your server.cfg is not configured, Refer to this post to solve this problem

Then follow these steps and I am sure you will succeed.

Go to valve>cstrike and open a file named server.cfg as notepad or wordpad.

And add these lines in it:

If you can't do that then simply download server.cfg file from the link given below and paste it in cstrike folder.

Now the main part is here, go to www.whatismyip.com,
You will find your wan ip there, give it out to your friends and add :27015 with it...E.g your ip is 123.456.789.1000 then you have to add 27015 with it...which will be like this 123.456.789.1000:27015

Congrats you are done..But you always have to forward your ports first...

Get your Counter Strike server visible to your friends | Fix your Counter Strike Server availability Problem

This Post is about how to hack/crash or Dos a Counter Strike 1.6 (Cs 1.6), Counter Strike Source (CSS) and Counter Strike Condition Zero (CS CZ) Server.

Note: You can only hack a server if you have a registered Cd Key of Counter Strike but you can still hack a LAN server even if you do not have a registered Cd key.

Follow the steps below to start...

1: Download the csdos.exe file here (If you think there is some virus or any kind of doubt then plz leave it, this is not for you)

2: Copy and paste that csdos.exe file here C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator

3: Now go to run and type cmd

4: You will see the dos, type "cd" and press enter

5: Now type csdos 8000

and you are done, just go and check out the latency of the server, It will be something like 2000...

PS: Majority can't perform this hack properly, even I couldn't but now I know the solution of almost all the errors so if you receive any error then plz do let me know by just writing it in the comment box...

1. Double click the hldsupdatetool.exe file and install it. Please make sure that the file is installed in the directory in which your operating system is residing.
2. Suppose you have installed the file in C:/hlds directory. Now go to start > run > cmd > cd/ > cd hlds. From here you can run hldsupdatetool.exe file.
3. Now install counter strike server on it. This can be done by typing following commands: hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game cstrike -dir c:/hlds. After this command is executed, counter strike server files will be downloaded on your system.

Ok server is set. Now how to run the server. To run the counter strike dedicated server you will again need to go to c:/hlds directory and locate their hlds.exe file. Right click on that file and go to Properties. You will find their "C:/hlds/hlds.exe". to this add the following: -console -game cstrike +port 27015 +map de_dust +maxplayers 16 -autoupdate. That's all.
