How To Remove CL_FlushEntityPacket Error in Counter Strike

This is one of the most irritating errors that sometimes creeps without any notice. It is quite probable that you played the game last night but today you are getting very high latency. Now the probable reason for this could be that you are getting weak signal strength in the cable, so you will have to call up and engineer to check it. The problem is more irritating because you get complete download speed but cant play the game

Here are some reasons that could cause this error:

Your internet connection or the server’s internet connection is having problems
• You have some P2P or similar program running on your system in the background that consumes your bandwidth, sending email will also cause this if you have a low speed internet connection.
• There are other computers on your local network using your internet connection.
• The server you are on has its network connection overloaded (too many players or it’s downloading something in the background).
• You are running on a wireless connection.
• You have a Virus or Trojan or Internet Worm infection that is generating traffic.
• You are connected to the internet using an analog (56K) modem.
• You have your rate or cl_updaterate or cl_cmdrate settings too fast for your internet connection.


The following are steps you can take to self diagnose the problem and rectify it:

• Shut down all unnecessary programs on your computer before playing.
• Scan all computers on your home network for virus/trojan and spyware
• If you are running on a wireless network, try connecting using a direct ethernet cable and see if the problem goes away
• The default rate is 3500 to 5000 for 56K Modem. You should use the appropriate setting for your connection. You set this in your game console (~ typically) by entering: rate 7500
• The default cl_updaterate is 20, setting the value to a higher number increases the download demand on your connection. Set this in your console: cl_updaterate 20
• The default cl_cmdrate is 30, setting the value to a higher number increases the upload demand on your internet connection. Set this in your console: cl_cmdrate 30

Initially enter the following values and then keep lowering the values until you get a stable latency.

• Rate 25000
• Cl_updaterate 101
• Cl_cmdrate 101
